Lifelong Learning
Preschool
AL Gaglaim/ Training Wheels,
our family education program, held nine times per year, is geared to families
with children 2 to 5 years.
The curriculum focuses on Jewish holiday celebrations through crafts, music, stories, and food. We welcome all families regardless of levels of knowledge or observance.
Religious School
Our Religious School meets on Sunday mornings where the students learn Hebrew and Judaic studies. In addition, grades 5-7 meet midweek.
Confirmation Academy for grades 8 and 9 offers weekly exploration of theology, Jewish history and ethics.
Our 10th to 12th grades meet for monthly discussion of current issues.
The school is under the direction of the rabbi, the principal, and an Education Committee. Our teachers are all volunteers.
TBJ Playgroup
Come play with us! The TBJ playgroup, for kids through age 5 and their parents, will meet at TBJ on Wednesday, April 4 at 3:30 p.m. If the weather is spectacular, we may move to Rollins Park; in this event, a note will be posted on TBJ’s door.
Please come join in the fun (and conversation for the adults)! If you have any questions, contact Tracy Hahn-Burkett at 224-8091 or tracyrhb@comcast.net.
Thoughts on Friendship
By Jodi Roos’ 4th Grade Judaica Class
(During class we talked about friendship and the qualities we value in
friends. We discussed selfishness versus selflessness. The kids paired
off and had about ten minutes to write their poems. - Jodi Roos)
Friendship Feelings by Jacob Gibney and Tim Peterson
A friend can be good.
A friend can be bad.
A friend can also be very sad.
These are the feelings that I know,
I wait for my friends if they are slow.

By Jed Sky and Evan Ruderman
Friendship is a great thing.
Everyone should have a friend.
They’re always there for you and me.
Friendship should never end.
When you’re down in the great blue sea,
Friendship will save you.
A great friend will never leave
And they’ll make you believe
In yourself
Two friends are better than one,
The more you have, the greater
The fun.
We dedicate this to our really cool friends By Harry Gross and
Ben Heifetz

MONTHLY MITZVAH
As some of you may be
aware, the homeless shelters and the
food pantries in the Concord area are
in need of food donations. We are
requesting that people bring in
nonperishable foods such as rice,
canned vegetables, peanut butter, or
canned spaghetti, to be distributed. Of
course, dish soap, tissues, scouring
pads, and other household items are
always welcomed.
Please leave your donations in the box under the table in the entryway.
Thank you, Jean Buck for the Mitzvah Girls
INTERFAITH REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM
Over the summer months, the Interfaith Refugee Resettlement Program is expecting to receive approximately 80 refugees in Northern New England, mostly from Burundi.
These families will need tables, chairs, sofas (no sofa-sleepers),
bed frames, mattresses, linens, and the very basics. If you are interested
in further helping a refugee family, please call Amy Marchildon
at 603-224-8111, with Lutheran Social Services. Thank you.
Wishes for r'fua shleima, strength and healing, go out to Phil Speigel, Jay Rosenfield, Ada Nachmanson, Lindsey Segal-Bator and Samantha Rotman.
The URJ has reopened their Israel Emergency
Relief Fund to assist the residents of Sderot, who have been under constant
missile attacks from Hamas.
