To the members of Temple Beth Jacob,

The Concord Multicultural Festival is one of Concord’s premiere events.  We attract thousands, providing an opportunity for immigrant communities to shine.  The Festival will be held at Keach Park this year, on Sunday, September 18, from 10:30am until 4:30pm.

Like so much of what makes Concord a thriving, welcoming community, it is only possible with substantial volunteer help.  This can be a truly fun way to come together as a faith community; I hope you will consider inviting young people from the Temple to join us as well.

There are many ways your members could help.  If your members are able to provide 20 hours of service, we can list the Temple as one of our sponsors.  Here are some options to consider:

• We need teams of four who can direct parking.  There are shifts from 11:00 until 4:00.  While we would love to have help from your youth, we only have adults work on parking.
• If you have members who like to cook, we need sous-chefs to help our new American vendors on Saturday.  They prepare food at the NH Food Bank kitchen in Manchester and can use help anytime between 9 and 3 pm.  No special skills are needed.  This is my favorite volunteer option!
• Volunteers sell food vouchers during the festival in two-hour shifts.
• There are many opportunities to help with setting up and taking down the festival; this involves putting up canopies, setting up chairs and tables, taking everything down and packing it all away along with a myriad of other choices.  Set up is from 8700 until 11:00; we break down from 3:30 – 5:30.

I urge you to encourage your members to join us at Keach Park for the Festival.  The entertainment is wonderful, and the food is even better!  Come out and support our immigrant communities.
