"Wings of Peace” Afghan Raffle

The TBJ Knit-Crochet Group proudly introduces the 2024 Artisan Fundraiser, an outgrowth of the highly successful Afghan Blanket Raffle Projects of the past seven years.  Last year’s fundraiser netted $4,300 for TBJ!

This year’s project, “Wings of Peace,” represents our prayers and hopes for peace and healing in the Middle East and every place where there is strife – including our own country. In its design of gentle hue-shifting colors on creamy white, we are reminded of the symbols of the dove and the rainbow: the hope of peace and harmony. 

The 53”x53” handmade blanket is the result of hundreds of hours of collective effort by 26 TBJ members and friends. It is knitted and crocheted with “SuperWash” 100% Fine Merino wool, so it feels lush and luxurious and is also easy to wash and dry.

We are proud to also offer a companion piece of stained-glass art by Randy Kosow, designed in the same Wings of Peace colors and theme. The stained-glass piece is 12.5”x24” and can be hung horizontally or vertically.

This year we are offering progressive discounts for buying multiple tickets. Raffle tickets to win the two prizes cost $20 each. Buy more tickets to increase your chances of winning, and you’ll also be helping TBJ!

The drawing will be on December 4 DECEMBER 15 – perfect timing for a fabulous gift for Chanukah (which begins 12/25), or for a wedding or other special occasion.
