7:00 PM - 9:00 PMZoom/Webinar
SHAPIRO LECTURE PROGRAM:
AUTHOR JAMES CARROLL

The Shapiro Lecture Series committee is proud to present a second program for the 2022-2023 year. On March 29, the author James Carroll will be in conversation with Rabbi Robin over Zoom.

James Carroll is the author of twelve novels and nine works of nonfiction. For twenty-three years he published a weekly op-ed column in The Boston Globe. His nonfiction works include Constantine's Sword: The Church and the Jews (The 2002 winner of the National Jewish Book Award). Constantine's Sword explores 2000 years of Christian antisemitism, and is being read by the TBJ Sunday morning adult book discussion group.

Like the Jewish community, Mr. Carroll is alarmed at the rise of antisemitism across the world, and especially here in the U.S. His conversation with Rabbi Robin will touch on that subject among others, including his deep faith as a Catholic, despite the Church's ongoing anti-Jewish views and actions.

Please plan on joining this important conversation. Registration to obtain the Zoom link is forthcoming. Like all Shapiro Lecture Series programs, the conversation with Mr. Carroll is free and open to the public.
