Havdalah At the Lake - 2024!

An annual tradition at TBJ is a summer night we call Havdalah at the Lake. This year, it will be Saturday, July 20th. It's held at the lake house of our members Carol and Gary Sobelson. The house is on Pleasant Lake in Deerfield, about a 30 minute drive from Concord.

• This is a potluck meat (fleishig) event. Our hosts are providing all of the grilled foods, (hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers), buns, and condiments. We are asking attendees to please bring non-dairy hors d'ouvres, side dishes, salads, and deserts to share, as well as beverages.
• Pre-registration is required: Register below, or call or email the office: (603) 228-8581, office@tbjconcord.org. Once you register, you will receive the address of the lake house.
• Please give the names of all who will attend with you. All family members are welcome but we need to know how many people to expect.
• The afternoon and evening will be spent in the yard, outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
• You may arrive as early as 4pm and swim, kayak, and kibbitz with others.
• Grilling will begin at 6pm. 
• Bring swimming gear, clothing to change into for the evening, and any water toys/floats, etc. There are some kayaks and canoes available to be used. While there are a lot of chairs, extra folding chairs are helpful if you have 'em.
• Sundown is at 8:20, and that is the time that we will formally celebrate Havdalah.
